Cyclone Larry Benefit Concert
When Geoff's hometown of Innisfail was devastated by Cyclone Larry in 2006, it so happened, John Bromell (former manager of Warner Chappell Music) was residing at Geoff's place at Mothar Mountain, Gympie. At the same time, Geoff's company,
Mecano Sheds were having talks with the Endeavour Foundation about the distribution of sheds in Innisfail. When the cyclone unexpectedly struck, John Bromell quickly offered to organise a charity concert through the Endeavour Foundation, in the hope that a lot of his musical buddies that he had signed up previously would help out. The first calls he made were to Lee Kernaghan and Troy Casser-Daly. It wasn't long before the rest of the stars came out. Graeme Connors, Sara Storer. Phil and Geoff had the privilege of opening the concert and thanks to John's contacts in the music industry; the result was a resounding success.
